Hi, this is Melanie Nashan with Nashan Photographers. My associates and I are based out of Montana, Florida and California and love taking wedding and portrait photographs for our clients. We have photographed weddings all over the world and customize our packages specifically for each client.

Please take some time and look at our ‘artists’ page to see some of our online portfolios and then our ‘your event’ page to look at some of the more recent work we have done. We specialize in capturing candid, artistic moments of you and your families during all stages of your lives including weddings, family gatherings, holiday photos, senior portraits, maternity shoots and baby portraits.

This August, we are excited to be offering a wedding photography camp. Read all about it here.

RedCart: The perfect solution for a photo shopping cart

After months of coercion from Barbel I started considering shopping carts for my web site and clients. After much consideration and thought I decided to use Tommy Tompkin's RedCart. Over the past several years I had been using a shopping cart that I had custom made that worked nicely but was missing some integral services that needed to be offered to all of my clients. Although I was one of the first photographers to have a personalized shopping cart I had let it become outdated and needed something more sophisticated.

RedCart offers me and my clients everything that I want. It is completely customizable in that it integrates into my website without looking like an outside company's product. Loading events is so much easier than before. Cindy's son would load every photo individually before and somehow manage to be consistent every time. (The few times I did it I messed up the order of the images therefore creating a bit of chaos with reprint orders!)

There is a 'store' where we list every product we offer. Instead of having to update our products page every time a small item changes which entails being able to edit html we just have to go into our RedCart software and make the changes.

The slide show option allows everyone to view the images large enough to see all of the pertinent details. There is an option to convert the image to black & white which helps viewer see what the image will look like converted instead of them having to use their imagination!

There are two sections that I love using myself and those are the 'favorites' and 'album' options. They allow me to go through hundreds of images and pick out the ones that i want to use in a particular album that we are making for marketing purposes. It allows my clients to choose their images for their personal albums which is a great time saver!

Finally, on the back end of the program we are able to gather data and use it for marketing purposes. I am able to track all of our orders, & see what products are selling. In the 'olden days' Cindy would have to highlight a print out of the images so at the years end I could see what images people were choosing to order.

I want to thank Tommy for creating a shopping cart that fulfills so many needs for my photography studio. He offers a wonderful product at an affordable price. If you are a photographer you have the option of purchasing it completely and being in charge of customizing it yourself. Tommy literally holds your hand during this process and answers all of your questions in a very timely matter. Or you can opt to pay a monthly fee and he will set up your page himself and make any updates that are necessary. The other thing that is so wonderful is that Tommy listens to every suggestion that you might have and integrates any upgrades that he thinks will improve his product.

If you are a photographer searching for a cart check out his site! He has me listed on his web site in the testimonial section and I am very proud to be affiliated with him and his company!

Look at the great Collage!!!!

Chieko just designed a beautiful collage of the LaFoley's! I love it, especially since I took some photos of Hilary when she was pregnant and was able to include that in the composition.

Mary and Rachel: Senior Photos 2 for 1

I met with Rachel and Mary yesterday to show them the photos and we all love these two photos of them along with a bunch of others.

We have a variety of post processing effects that we can do on photos, some a bit more trendy and fun, others just plain old traditionally beautiful.

Senior portraits are more fun with a friend. Book your senior portraits now and get 2 for the price of 1!
Bring your friends, lots of clothes & your ipod. We will create unique, contemporary photos that you and your friends will LOVE!

They both play soccer and I love this photo of the two of them through the net. So playful!
Miriam and Christine were there to make sure we had everything we needed. And to make Mary & Rachel laugh... a lot!

We will give you photos to use on FB and MySpace.

Travis.Boyd

A couple of weeks ago I went to Kiawah Island in South Carolina to photograph Allison and Matt's wedding. This was the first time that I photographed there and it is a really a beautiful place to get married at. Ellen from WED had recommended me and although I photographed her wedding several years ago this was the first time that we worked together on a wedding.

The flowers were beautifully done and the perfect accent for a spring wedding in the south. Sara from Dahlia Designs did a beautiful job!

The cake topper was Allison's grandmother's and I LOVED it.

Allison and Matt stole a few minutes after we took some sunset photos out by the pond. I love how 'together' they are.

I always love these cupcake holders and Jim Smeel made the whole display look lovely and followed the theme through the cake stand too.

I love Allison's smile while she was talking with her dad....

Ellen and the ladies from WED remade the room with different curtains and brought in a light airiness that brought the outdoors inside.

On each table Allison and Matt chose one of their favorite locals and wrote a short story of why it was an important place in their history.

Loved the initialed cups that were served during cocktail hour and saved as guest gifts...

The contrast between the blue table linens outside and the yellow linens inside was really lovely.

We did some photos our on the beach.

One of my favorite moments during the ceremony....
