our New Signage!!!!

Last Friday Brad from Delta Sings hung our new sign up over our door! Lynn worked through so many obstacles that kept coming up on the Nashan Photography" sign. Thank you Lynn for persevering and getting the sign up when I needed it! We are ecstatic with the way it looks!!!!

The other things I love about having an office in Livingston is that my husband has owns the Montana Watch Co. and he has his storefront right below our spot!

(I know the sign on the door is too big! We will replace it with the same one but just a bit smaller!)

Cindy just designed a couple of thank you cards that I think are so beautiful! If you are one of our clients and haven't decided upon your thank you cards, consider us making a custom card for you to use. We offer a 30% discount and it is such a personal way to share some of your favorite photos with your family and friends. The cards are 5x7", we can imprint a personal message on the back and leave enough space for you to write a short note too. They even come with envelopes!!!

The perils of a photo shoot in the tall grass

Lori and Jim's photo shoot at the Filed of Dreams at Chico Springs was a lot of fun for all of us. On the way back to the reception I looked at Lori's dress and realized that there were some pieces of grass interweaved into her dress. Luckily she and Jim were easy going and didn't even flinch at the fact that there were about 50 pieces of grass in here dress.

Barbel snapped this photo of me picking at Lori's dress as we walked back to the car....

Wedding at Chico Hot Springs

Lorie Dulemba & Jim Johnson
July 12, 2008

Lorie and Jim's wedding was a very relaxed and comfortable wedding. The pace was never rushed which allowed everyone enough time to mingle and relax on the lawn at Chico Hot Springs. I love weddings at Chico Hot Springs for many reasons. There is a sense of nostalgia there that no other place captures for me. Here are some photos that were my favorite from the day.

Barbel Morton, one of my associates, shot with me and here is one of the backdrops that she suggested.

I love the heavy machinery!

To my surprise Jimmy and Nan were playing music. They did a beautiful job and it was fun for me to photograph them again. ( I shot their wedding two years ago.)

After the ceremony everyone threw rose pedals at Lorie and Jim as they walked down the aisle.

Their dog, Lucy, laying on her back was supposed to be the 'flower dog' but was a little too young to take on the responsibility. Instead she liked wrestling with her friend.

Their portrait with Lucy.

Immediately after dinner Barbel and I took James and Lorie up to the Field of Dreams and we did some wonderful shots. The hike up was certainly worth it!

I love the light in this photo. Cindy will do a much better job in the conversion....

Then when we came back one of the guests was doing stupid human tricks! I love it and wish i could do it!

A little fun with IR photography.....

And finally Chico Hot Springs at twilight.

Jill and Graham

Springhill Pavillion
Bozeman, Montana

Jill and Graham chose to get married at the Springhill Pavillion located on the hills overlooking Bozeman, Montana. I want to apologize for being late getting the images on the blog, my son had his seventh birthday and we had 11 kids having a camp out in our front yard.
Back to the wedding. Immediately after our portraits the bridesmaids whisked Jill away hidden behind one of the umbrellas for the guests....
Jill watching as guests arrive and the last minute details are ironed out.

I have been shooting at Springhill for over 15 years and I am always trying to find a new perspective and I love this shot. It brings in the mountains and the sense of scale reminds us all how grand the landscape in Montana is.

When Jill started her vows a great gust of wind came up and wrapped her face in her veil.

I love it right after a couple gets married. There is such a closeness between the two of them in this photo.

When we were shooting the portraits of just the two of them I tried to make the same scene seem fresh and new and love this photo of the two of them holding hands.

And Jill's personality shines through as soon as she starts to move.

Jill and Graham had one of those ceremonies that truly touches everyone in attendance. Their commitment and respect towards each other is something that all of us can aspire to in our relationships.

Thank you for having me and my daughter Keegan photograph your wedding. I hope your photos bring back many wonderful memories.

Carrie's Bridal Portraits.....

Livingston, Montana

Over the last couple of years I have worked with Carrie Patterson on my web site. About a year ago, she will remember the actual date because she remembers every date, she asked me to photograph her wedding. Over the last year I feel like we have become good friends. Carrie came to Vegas with us. Carrie is a lovely person, both internally and as you will see externally. Randy is VERY lucky. In addition to being a wonderful person she is a telented photographer and graphic designer. So that puts even a little more pressure on me.

Chieko, one of my associates, and I arrived at the house and within 5 minutes of being with Carrie I think we both felt like we would always want to work for our friends. Carrie was relaxed and open to any ideas that we might have. Her dress was perfectly beautiful, her hair amazing.....she was perfectly beautiful. (Much different from when she first met Randy, with her ski cap on! hahahaha!)
